Study Programme

294 hours of training. A combination of academic preparation standards and a practical approach to excel in the competitive job market.

A fully online program based on 6 modules covering legal sciences, business, media and communication.

The curriculum of the Master in Global Management for China includes over 294 hours of training in legal, economic, political-institutional, business, linguistic, and digital fields.

All lessons will be conducted online using the Teams platform, from Monday to Thursday, from morning to afternoon. Fridays are reserved for independent study or small group work. Some introductory and concluding sessions of the teaching activities may take place in person at the University of Naples L’Orientale, subject to agreement among the participants.

Comparative Law (12/GIUR-11, 3 ECTS)

This course examines the regulations that govern business entities and corporate forms in different countries, with a particular focus on the legal distinctions between China, Italy, and other international contexts.

Commercial Law (12/GIUR-02, 3 ECTS)

This course provides foundational knowledge in commercial law, covering topics from dispute resolution to international contracts, with particular attention to the opportunities and challenges for foreign investments in China.

International Law (12/GIUR-09, 4 ECTS)

This course provides an overview of key regulations governing international trade and multilateral institutions, equipping students with the necessary skills to operate in a global context.

History and Institutions of China (14/GSPS-04, 5 ECTS)

This course explores China’s modern historical transformations, analyzing its unique political structure, power dynamics, and institutional communication modes. It provides critical insights into the Chinese government and society, laying a foundation for understanding current policies and regulatory environments.

Industrial Economics and Policy (13/ECON-04, 7 ECTS)

The course explores the evolution of Chinese industrial policies, the relationship between the state and the market, and the challenges foreign companies face in this globally leading manufacturing sector. It provides tools for analyzing the Chinese economic model, assessing its sustainability, and understanding its role in the economic development of East Asia.

Business, Accounting, and Globalization (13/ECON-06, 3 ECTS)

This course explores corporate sustainability strategies, environmental and social standards, and reporting practices, providing communication tools for addressing the challenges of globalization. It covers the Chinese tax system, accounting principles, and tax regulations, with a focus on their implications for businesses and international economic relations.

International Marketing and Business Organization (13/ECON-07, 5 CFU)

The course provides skills in managing international businesses, with a particular focus on internationalization strategies targeting China and human resource management in a global context. It teaches how to design market entry strategies for the Chinese market by analyzing the key principles of global marketing and the most effective strategies for the local market.

Communication, Media and Intercultural Management

This course examines relational and cultural dynamics in the Chinese context, developing managerial skills for adapting to an evolving market and understanding consumer trends.

Business Chinese (10/ASIA-01, 7 ECTS)

This course develops professional Chinese language skills, enabling effective communication in business environments. It includes professional vocabulary and culturally relevant language practices essential for professional success in China.

ICT and Media (10/PEMM-01, 5 ECTS)

Exploring both traditional and digital media in China, this course focuses on intercultural communication techniques and strategies for engaging Chinese digital audiences, equipping students with tools to effectively communicate across cultural boundaries in a digital age. It provides an in-depth view of the Chinese digital landscape, from e-commerce to social media, teaching students how to adapt marketing strategies and use local digital platforms effectively, crucial for businesses entering or expanding in China.
