The Master in Global Management for China (GMC) is a one-year postgraduate program, designed for graduates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications who have an intermediate proficiency in Chinese and English. This program aims to enhance their linguistic and cultural education with economic, legal, and business skills, specializing in Chinese for business purposes.
The Master GMC is jointly offered by five prestigious Italian universities renowned for their expertise in China studies: University of Naples L’Orientale, Ca’ Foscari Venezia University, Roma Tre University, University of Macerata and University of Bergamo.
With a practical and application-oriented approach, the course features expert lecturers from the business world and professions supporting business in China. The curriculum includes exercises, simulations, and expert testimonies, with a strong emphasis on the preparation of teaching materials by individual instructors, drawn from both academic literature and practical experience.
A distinctive feature of the Master GMC is its continuous interaction with the business world, highlighted by a mandatory 300-hour internship at companies and organizations engaged in various sectors of economic relations with China.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chinese or cultural mediation, or have equivalent qualifications with an intermediate proficiency in Chinese and English. The course is designed to equip students with managerial skills necessary to support management or departments engaged in international cooperation (e.g., purchasing departments, commercial offices), useful for companies operating in and with China, as well as for public and private institutions and non-governmental organizations.
The Master GMC aims to train professionals capable of supporting corporate management in integrating with the Chinese business environment, as well as independent professionals equipped with skills essential for commercial and investment activities with and for China. The targeted professional profiles are new and emerging, primarily within the private sector.
